The following information explains membership benefits, the three types of membership (Primary, Associate and Junior) and dues. Membership applications are included so you can join now!

Membership Types
1. Primary Membership entitles you to:
- Receive the quarterly Newsletter*
- Receive the annual Membership Roster - a list of all members and their favorite shaker types
- Vote on all club matters (some restrictions for members under 18 years old)
- Advertise shakers for sale in the club Newsletter
- Post a list of shakers you are looking for in the club Newsletter
- Advertise a collection for sale on the club Web site
- Purchase club authorized merchandise - including the annual commemorative convention shaker set
- Be nominated to be a club officer and/or chair a committee
- Attend the annual convention where you may
- Buy and sell shakers
- Enter and vote in contests
- Attend educational programs
- Bid at the auctions
- Enjoy fellowship with other shaker collectors from around the world
*The club Newsletter is a quarterly publication that contains photos, articles and historical information regarding novelty and figural salt and pepper shakers and their manufacturers. It also contains officers' reports, regional chapter news, articles by members about sensational sets they discovered, shakers for sale or trade, members' "have and want" listings and other information pertaining to collecting shakers. 2. Associate Membership was created specifically for additional shaker collectors living at the same address as the Primary Member, e.g., spouses, significant others, other family members. While the benefits are the same as the Primary Member only one copy of the Newsletter and one copy of the Membership Roster is sent to the address.
3. Junior Membership is for young collectors between 5 years and 18 years of age. The purpose is to provide education related to the hobby of collecting salt and pepper shakers in a fun and entertaining way. Junior Membership stands alone and does NOT require a Primary Membership in the same household although parental/guardian permission is required. They may NOT hold a national office or chair a committee.
Junior Membership entitles you to:
- Receive the quarterly "Junior News" dedicated to young collectors. Click here to see a sample of the "Junior News."
- Receive the annual Junior Membership Roster
- Join local chapters, as allowed by local chapter guidelines
- Purchase authorized club merchandise - including the annual commemorative convention shaker set
- Attend the annual convention where you may:
- Buy, sell and trade shakers
- Enter and vote in special Junior Member contests
- Attend educational programs
- Bid at the auctions with pre-approval and supervision by a parent/guardian/adult
- Enjoy fellowship with other Junior Members
Membership Dues
The dues year is based on a calendar year; it ends on December 31st of any given year. Dues are based on your country, membership type and length of membership. They may be paid in U.S. funds ONLY.

**Thanks to the generous donations from our members and chapters the dues for Junior Membership have been waived for 2010.
