Description: From “Junior News”, September 2014 issue by Sally Sebert: The 2014 Convention set is a take-off on a famous painting from the 1930’s by Grant Wood. He called his painting “American Gothic” because of the Gothic style window in the plain county house he saw. He fashioned the people after his sister and his dentist.
South Dakota artist Allyson Nagel designed this set to include the famous window as well as the unique American couple. The porcelain nodder set is 4.25″ high and 4″ wide with 3 and 4 holes. A Swarovski crystal is included at the lady’s collar and all the convention information is recorded on the back of the set.
