Circa 1928-34, the heads of these antique glass rabbits salt and pepper shakers were manufactured by S.W. Farber, Inc. from Brooklyn, New York. The S.W. Farber firm created various household chromium-plated metal items. They bought or imported glass from other companies to pair with their metal products. The glass bodies of these shakers were imported from Czechoslovakia.
A complete set will have their original glass eyes intact. They can be found in various colors - sometimes matching and sometimes different. They stand about 3'' in height. Other animals were also created, including dogs, elephants, owls, cats, and birds. A matching sugar shaker was also made to go with each different pair of S&P shakers.
