Why a clown and a woman? Is it really a true set? The colors match - yes. They are the same size with similar proportions - yes. They have identical facial details - yes. They are both stamped in red "Japan". They have 7 and 5 pour holes.
I say yes they are a true set. But an odd pairing to say the least.
Here is more evidence that they are a correct pair - it is not the only strange pairing of a clown and woman out there. Look at this Japan imported lusterware set on the right. Same story and argument as above. I believe this is also a true set.
