Each year a commemorative shaker set is created to celebrate the Novelty Salt & Pepper Shakers Club’s annual convention. The shaker’s subject matter is typically determined by the convention theme. The design is always a guarded secret until it is unveiled at convention. A limited number of sets are produced each year.
Usually, two unique sets are made each year — a special gold-trimmed “number one” set and a special silver-trimmed “number two” set. These sets are either auctioned or raffled at the convention. Occasionally, a prototype of the convention set is also auctioned.
