This Halloween set of salt and pepper shakers depicting a witch and black crow or raven was made by Margaret Weese who was thought to be a private ceramicist from the Southern California area in the 1940s. Her pieces are often impressed Weese or simply MW on the unglazed and unpainted bottoms of her shakers.
