Imported from Japan by Enesco in the 1960s, this famous vintage series of Walt Disney characters originally came wrapped in clear plastic, on a non-ceramic plastic base, and with an original foil sticker that reads "Famous Walt Disney Character Salt & Pepper Sets on Tray".

In 1997, in their "1003" character shaker reference book Sylvia Tompkins and Larry Carey published, the sets were valued at $250+. That clearly is not the value today (2024). But collectors looking to complete this series can still be expected to pay on average of $50 for a set with the associated tray. And closer to $75 (maybe even $100) if the set is still in its original plastic wrapping.
